Overview:
Dave Patzwald, CIO of Schneider Electric's North American Operating Division, was given the challenge of fixing the IT systems availability issues . The problem was not just the perception that the It systems were slow and unreliable: There was no agreement even on how to define slow and fast in terms of response time, nor were there any benchmarks established against which IT performance could be monitored and improved. Communication between IT and business counterparts was limited.

The guidelines for the project were:

  • Always make decisions based on facts, not perceptions.
  • Make the process repeatable, not just a one-time fire-fighting exercise.
  • Work closely with business partners, using their measures for success.
  • Think "end-to-end" performance - including the total chain from application to desktop to data center, not just isolating on network issues (the symptom)

Schneider Electric then turned to Compuware Vantage suite. Compuware vantage Suite proved to be ideally suited for such an approach. Read this case study to learn how over the couple months following the implementation of Compuware Vantage Suite the feedback over the IT systems showed a 20 percent improvement of the performance of 12 key transactions.

Read on to learn how Schneider Electric benefited from implementing the Compuware Vantage Suite and learn how your company can see the same results as Schneider Electric did.
